Town of Greece Police Employment Opportunities

The Town of Greece is currently accepting applications for qualified Lateral Transfer Officer Candidates

The Town of Greece Police Department uses two methods to appoint Police Officers:

1) An appointment from the Monroe County Civil Service Commission list of eligible applicants for the position of Police Officer.  This testing process must be completed by any applicant seeking employment that does not meet the lateral transfer criteria.  To inquire about future examinations for the position of Police Officer details may be found on the  Monroe County Employment Page https://www.monroecounty.gov/hr-careers

2) A police officer who has permanent civil service status in the title of Police Officer with another municipality in New York State with the exception of the New York State Police or the City of New York may seek to transfer to the Greece Police Department.  The transfer is subject to the approval of the Monroe County Civil Service Commission. Please send all resumes to the Greece Police Department, Attention: Acting Deputy Chief Ryan Parina, 6 Vince Tofany Blvd., Greece, New York 14612.  Your resume will be kept in an active file for a period of one year and will be reviewed as vacancies occur.
