Deputy Chief Aaron Springer
The Bureau of Internal Standards and Compliance is commanded by Deputy Chief Aaron Springer. The duties of this office are the following: Administrative Investigations, Internal Audits, review and analysis of police use of force and vehicle pursuits, management of the civilian complaint process, and management of the New York State Law Enforcement Accreditation Program.
The Greece Police Department takes seriously all complaints regarding the service provided by the Department and the conduct of its members. The Bureau of Internal Standards and Compliance will accept all complaints of misconduct in accordance with policy and applicable federal, state and local law. It is also the policy of this Department to ensure the reporting of misconduct without concern for reprisal or retaliation.
The Greece Police Department has been a New York State Accredited Agency since 1994. The Bureau of Internal Standards and Compliance oversees the accreditation program to maintain the high standards established for accredited police departments ensuring service to the Greece community with integrity and professionalism.
